Carson-Tahoe Specialty Hospital--Carson City, Nevada

A new speciatly hospital with physician practice area for Carson City. This multi-specialty group practice facility includes an orthopedic surgical center, five-bed inpatient rooms and combined waiting areas. This surgical center, situated on the same site as a new hospital currently under Schematic Design, required The Architectural Nexus design to be sensitive to design attributes in hospital. .

Our staff utilized the pristine views of Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas when designing the waiting areas. As visitors congregate in the lobby and common spaces of the Carson-Tahoe Specialty Hospital, they will observe gorgeous views from the natural landscape. Through use of natural light, the design team reduced the sense of a “stale clinical space” from the facility.
